Ordering a subscription

» Why take out a subscription?

By taking out a magazine subscription you save money on the cover price. You will also receive every issue delivered free to your door, before it’s available in the shops.

» When does my subscription start?

Your subscription will start with the next available issue. If you subscribe online, you will see a drop-down list from which you can choose your start issue. When you have ordered your subscription you will receive a confirmation letter, which will state your start issue, last issue and subscriber number.

» When does my subscription end?

If you pay by cheque or credit card your subscription will end once you have received all ordered issues. We will send you subscription renewal reminders when your subscription is coming to an end. If you pay by Direct Debit, your subscription will continue until you decide to cancel. You can check the number of issues remaining on your subscription at any time by visiting www.subscription.co.uk/help and selecting your magazine from the drop-down list.

» Acceptable forms of payment

You can pay for your subscription by credit or debit card, cheque, or by Direct Debit. If you wish to be invoiced please contact the customer service team. Please be aware that we do not accept subscription payments by BACs transfer.

» Why pay by Direct Debit?

UK customers can pay for a subscription by Direct Debit. Direct Debit payments are automatically renewed upon expiry. You will be informed in advance if the price is to be increased. Direct Debit customers are protected by the Direct Debit Guarantee so you will be able to cancel at any time and receive a full refund on all unmailed issues.

» How do I order a gift subscription?

Simply follow the ordering instructions and submit the address details for the recipient into the delivery address section. You will receive an acknowledgement confirming the gift subscription, the subscriber number and the start and expiry issue.

» Can I order a subscription for delivery outside the UK?

Subscriptions are available for countries outside the UK. Please visit our websites or contact customer service for overseas subscription rates. Overseas orders will be charged in GB£ sterling. Please note that subscription gifts are not available to overseas subscribers.

Managing your subscription

» How do I renew my subscription?

Renewal reminders will be sent to you before the end of your subscription. You can either renew online using the unique code found on your letter/email, complete and return the renewal form you receive with payment, or renew over the phone on 01858 438 867. Please note if you pay by Direct Debit you do not need to renew your subscription as your contract will continue at the same discounted rate. You can check the number of issues remaining on your subscription at any time by visiting www.subscription.co.uk/help and selecting your magazine from the drop-down list.

» Subscriber reference number

Your subscriber reference number can be found on your confirmation letter or magazine address label.

» Direct Debit queries

You Direct Debit will be taken under the company name of IDG Communications and this will be displayed on your bank statement. Direct Debit customers are protected by the Direct Debit Guarantee so you will be able to cancel at any time and receive a full refund on all unmailed issues.

» How do I change my address or name details?

If you have changed address or any contact details then you can update this information on www.subscription.co.uk/help. You can also email us at idg@subscription.co.uk or call 01858 438 867.

» Can I cancel my subscription?

You can cancel your subscription at any time and we will refund you for any unmailed issues. Please contact us at idg@subscription.co.uk, call 01858 438 867 or write to us at IDG Subscriptions, Tower House, Sovereign Park, Market Harborough, Leicestershire, LE16 9EF. If you pay by Direct Debit you will also need to notify your bank directly.

» What do I do if my magazine has not arrived or is damaged?

If your magazine has not arrived or is damaged then please contact us at idg@subscription.co.uk or call 01858 438 867 or contact your local post office.

» I can suspend my subscription and start it again later?

If you wish to suspend your subscription for a short period of time then please contact customer services.

Choose your magazine from the drop-down list.
Enter your subscriber number (which can be found on your confirmation letter or on your magazine carrier label) and name
You can now update your contact details, check the number of issues remaining and on-sale dates of forthcoming issues.

» How do I make a complaint?

If you have a complaint about any aspect of your subscription then please contact idg@subscription.co.uk or call 01858 438 867.

» When will my free gift be delivered?

Subscription gifts will be despatched within 28 days from the date you order your subscription. Please be aware that gifts are limited and subject to availability. If your chosen gift is out of stock we will offer an alternative gift of equal or greater value. Your gift will be delivered separately to your magazine.

Cover Disc queries

» My cover disc is missing/damaged.

If your cover disc is missing or damaged then please contact customer services on idg@subscription.co.uk or call 01858 438 867 for a replacement.

General magazine queries

» Can I order back issues?

You can order back issues via our websites or contact the customer services team on 01858 438 867.

» How do I contact editorial?

You can find details to contact the editorial team within the magazine and online.

» How do I return unwanted magazines?

Please return any misdirected or unwanted magazines to the address on the address label.

» How can I unsubscribe from emails and mailings?

If you wish to stop receiving emails from us then please log onto your online account and update your preferences. All emails have an unsubscribe link at the bottom which you can also use to unsubscribe.

» How will my personal information be used?

We use the personal information you provide (such as name, address, credit card details) to process your subscription order. We will also ask you whether you wish to receive details of our magazines and services and those of third parties. You can opt out of these communications at any time by contacting customer services. » Are online payments secure?

All transactions are performed on a secure web server. We use SSL encryption software to keep the details of your order and credit/debit card information secure. All the information you provide is encrypted so that none of your details can be read in the secure line between your computer and our processing department. After processing, your details are held in our subscription system which is a completely separate area, unlinked and away from our internet pages.
