12. Round off values  To change the number of decimal places click the i icon by the field name in the Values field then click Number… in the PivotTable Field panel. Decimal places can be set in the Number category in the window that appears. If set to zero, the values will be rounded up or down to the nearest whole number.


13. Apply conditional formatting  Use the Conditional Formatting button on the Home section of the Ribbon to apply format calculation results. In this case, different colours are applied to values that are either greater than 80, between 60 and 79, or less than 60.

14. Review results quickly  Once the colours are applied it instantly becomes clearer which students got above 80 per cent, which ones between 60 and 79 per cent, and which got less than 60 per cent. Once that’s done, seeing who got what grade will be easy!
