A judge presiding over the Apple versus Motorola case is fed up with Apple’s “frivolous filings”.
In an order dated 26 April 2012 Judge Richard A. Posner writes: “I've had my fill of frivolous filings by Apple.”
The full text, referenced by Foss Patents is: "I deny the second half of Apple’s motion (seeking prohibition of the deposition) as frivolous and the first half (seeking substitution) as untimely. I've had my fill of frivolous filings by Apple. The next such motion, and I shall forbid it to file any motions without first moving for leave to file."
Foss Patents claims that the issue is over Apple’s attempt to use a medical problem of an expert’s wife as a reason not to let the expert be heard in the trial.
