Apple is trying to erase all evidence of the Genius Ads that met with derision. The company has pulled the ads from its YouTube channel and the Apple.com website.
The set of three ads were aired during the Olympic Opening Ceremony and were deemed ‘embarrassing’, ‘cheap’, ‘cringe-inducing’, and ‘dreadful”.
They featured an Apple Genius helping various Mac owners in unlikely situations.
Not everyone felt that the ads were misguided however, Macworld's Philip Michael's noted that “Apple's ads preach to new customers, not the choir”.

Unfortunately, Apple appears to be embarrassed by the reaction. According to MacRumours, it's rare for Apple to remove ads from YouTube so quickly.
