New-look iDisk folder
Thu, 10 Jul 2008
Today has been marked by some very odd things periodically happening to my .Mac / Mobile Me account.
The latest is my iDisk which has just switched over to the new-look logo. Not sure if I fully approve of the new design, that cloud looks a bit 'Fisher Price', but then the old logo looked like a 1990's throwback.

The new look MobileMe iDisk logo
Everything else is up and down like a YoYo. I've been able to log on to the iDisk through the Web site, but not Mail or Address Book. The syncing on my computer no longer works (no change there then, some might point out). And my MacBook Air has signed out and won't sign back in again. It refuses to accept my password, and is my login mark.hattersley@mac.com, me.com? or just mark.hattersley?
It doesn't really matter. None of them work.
Which is a shame, because I wanted to spend today thoroughly exploring MobileMe, and take a break from the iPhone. But as it stood I ended up scouring through the App Store and writing up news stories on the iPhone anyway.
And I'm now off to have another look at the Apple Store on Regent Street. Apparently there's two people in the queue now.

So -this mobile me upgrade isn't going so smoothly I think - I still appear to be using the same thing.
As per iPhone, I think Apple is about to exceed its own expectations - I think they could be sold out worldwide within a few hours. Im very fed up that I can;t use my Apps yet - I've downloaded a dozen.

I don't know. We'll see about the iPhone.
Aside from O2's Web site falling over, there's certainly not the queues or hype that surrounding last year's launch.

That's odd. It worked a minute ago and then bounced me out of it. Was very slow though.
The Calendar app looks quite good. And Mail is a bit better (but was quite a snazzy app anyway). Address Book didn't work.

Moving from one application to another is so slow - trying to make an appointment seems to take ages - I've set the time to 24 hour format every time I log back in its reverted back to am/pm other time it just hangs not impressed so far
