Apple unveils Aperture 3, then keeps mum about it
Tue, 09 Feb 2010
The online Apple Store, as many will know, shut down this morning, during which time traditionally the company adds new products unannounced.
For all the anticipation or hope for new Macs, MacBooks, iPods, iPhones, Apple software, in the event Apple revealed Aperture 3, its photo editing and management software.
Plenty of new and useful tools for photographers then, worth flagging up maybe. Only problem, after all that downtime Aperture 3 doesn't even show up on the UK Apple Store front page, bar a small listing on the right and is hardly big news on the US store.
UK and US stores below.
Update: Apple has added Aperture 3 sometime late on Tuesday/early Wednesday to the front page of the UK Apple Store.

It's quite amusing to see several web sites (& people) become overly excited about this non-event. To be fair, Apple bears a lot of the responsibility for it. Rather than bringing down your entire online store, could they not simply update it as is? Or perform the update during the late evening?
I think we are becoming the kittens to Apple's ball of string.
