Apple is in talks with Nordic mobile phone networks with a view to arranging network deals to bring the iPhone to countries there.

MarketWatch this morning reports that mobile firms, TeliaSonera and Telenor have both confirmed themselves to be in active talks with the company over the device.

The firms describe themselves as "very interested" in the iPhone, and articulate great interest among their customers. Fearing fall-back from Cupertino, neither operator amplified on the nature of the discussions, but warned the iPhone is unlikely to reach their territories "this year".
