Apple may license its multi-touch technologies to others, suggests a DigiTimes report.

Elan Microelectronics is allegedly in talks with Apple to arrange a cross licensing deal, which "both parties are likely to" sign up to, says the report which cites the Chinese Economic Daily News.

The report notes that because Apple has its own touch technology, Elan is unlikely to be able to supply touch-sensitive screens to the iPhone maker.
