Apple currently has about 10,000 square feet of commercial space in the Citigroup building in Manhattan. News that the company is seeking to invest in more office space has generated some speculation the company hopes to create an enterprise-friendly location for its strategy for business computing.

Apple's business-friendly move comes as industry observers report the company should ramp-up its pitch to enterprise users on the strength of the iPhone halo, with commentators indicating that should Apple fail to push its way into these markets it will forever cede them to Microsoft.
