FileMaker on Friday held the awards ceremony for its annual CubeAwards, which are designed to acknowledge the achievements of FileMaker software developers in the UK.
This year's prestigious ceremony was held at The Royal College of Physicians, Regent's Park and included a wide range of developers. Macworld was also in attendance and met with several of the nominees. Tony Speakman, Regional Manager for FileMaker in Northern Europe, announced the awards, providing comic asides with a range of amusing anecdotes.
The CubeAwards09 were split into two categories in order to make them accessible to organisations of all sizes from all sectors. The "Best Public Sector Solution" and "Best Private Sector Solution", with the best entry from these categories taking the "Winner of Winners" award.
Award entries were shortlisted by a judging panel made up of representatives from FileMaker, seasoned developers and independent IT experts. The shortlisted entrants were then asked to attend a judging day where they could demonstrate their solutions to the judging panel.
