Amazon’s Cloud Player service has been enhanced to add an iTunes Match-like song scanning and matching feature.
Like Apple’s service, Cloud Player also upgrades matched files to 256-Kbps-quality audio.
Amazon allows users to import up to 250 songs to Cloud Player for free, or pay a $24.99 yearly fee for the ability to import up to 250,000 songs. That’s ten times the amount of songs as iTunes Match allows, despite having the same subscription price.
There is a free iOS Cloud Player app available in the US, but unfortunately, Amazon’s service is not yet available in the UK.

Amazon first launched Cloud Player in March 2011.
