Apple has released a minor update to iTunes. Version 11.0.2 adds a new composer view to the media-management software, and fixes several bugs.
Composer view allows iTunes users to display the name of each track's composer. You can add the column to your iTunes library by going to View > View Options and then ticking Composer. You can now also add a composer column to the top of your iTunes libray by going to View > Column Browser and ticking Composer.
In the release notes for the update, which is 54.2MB in size and was released on Tuesday, Apple explains that iTunes 11.0.2 adds new Composer view for music, improves responsiveness when syncing playlists with large numbers of songs, and fixes an issue where purchases may not show up in your iTunes library. This update also includes other stability and performance improvements."
Apple released iTunes 11 in November, completely redesigning the interface of the software and introducing a range of new features. In December, Apple released iTunes 11.0.1, bringing back some missing features and fixing some annoying bugs.
Also on Tuesday, Apple released iOS 6.1.2, a bug fixing update to Apple's latest mobile operating system. The update does not patch the bug that allows unauthorised users to access a locked iPhone's contacts and photos by exploiting a flaw in the emergency call feature.

Actually, the option to view composers in Songs view (like Ashleigh explained above) has always been available in iTunes. What the update has added however, is the option to add Composers to toolbar, right up there with the "Songs" "Albums" "Artists" "Genres" etc. To do that, go to preferences, and in the General tab, check "Views: Show Composers".
Ashleigh, like most people, apparently don't much care who is actually writing the music...:(
