Apple's iLife, a collection of software applications for organising, editing, and publishing photos, movies and music, will finally get an update next month, recent rumours claim.
iLife 09, which includes iPhoto, iMovie, iDVD, GarageBand and iWeb, and is bundled with every new Mac, was last updated at the start of 2009. A new iLife 10, or even iLife 11, will be released on 7 August 2010, according to French Mac enthusiast site Mac4Ever.com. The update will include 64-bit compatibility and a "nouvelle application (mystère !)."
To support claims that a new iLife may be with us sooner than later, last week TUAW reported 'iLife '10 for Dummies' was spotted on the French Amazon site, although the book, due for publication on 23 September, has since been removed.
A second book, covering the yet to be released iWork 10, Apple's software for creating documents, spreadsheets, and presentations is still listed, with a publication date of October.
For those looking to upgrade if and when a new version of iLife or iWork appears, both currently costs £71 each and £87 each for a Family Pack.
