Fri, 23 Oct 2009 Amazon Kindle download app will be Windows only
The app can be downloaded from Amazon's website next month
Amazon is bringing eBooks to computers users, with the help of a free app, but the option will be PC only.
The app, will be available from November, will let PC users download and read eBooks from the online retailer's Kindle store, without having to fork out for its Kindle eBook reader.

And for those that have already purchased the Kindle, the app will still come in handy.
It will sync the device with their PC, marking the last page they read, so users can start reading an eBook on their Kindle and continue on their PC without losing their page.
It also works multi-touch enabled Windows 7 PC, allowing you to turn the page or zoom using gestures on the screen.
The app can be downloaded from Amazon's website next month.

Well, If amazon kill stanza, that will make the windows only app evident of anti-competitive practices.

Obviously when the story went up they was no mention of a Mac version. Good news.
