Apple has made the iPhone ad it broadcast in the US during last night's Academy Awards presentation available for view online.

The 30-second ad was screened during the first break following the awards for art direction and scientific and technical achievement.

It begins with images of a ringing old-fashioned phone and then segues into clips of assorted film and television characters answering the phone, including one cartoon character, Mr Incredible, from the Pixar movie The Incredibles.

The ad ends with an image of the new mobile phone and the slogan 'coming in June'.

You can take a look at the ad here.
