Time spent watching online videos has risen by 10 per cent

Office hours are the most popular time of the day for watching video clips new research has found.

According to research by Nielsen Online, 65 per cent of those watching online clips do so between 9am and 5pm on weekdays.

Nearly half of web users revealed they prefer watching online videos between 5 and 8pm on weekends.

Nielsen also claims that the duration of time spent watching videos on the web rose by 10 per rcent between September and October this year. The research highlighted that video-sharing site

YouTube remains the most popular resource for watching videos online.
