Thu, 05 May 2011 LA garde robe Chic Marine review
An exercise in svelte design, this bag provides minimal protection
- Manufacturer: Be-ez
- Distributor: Square Group
- Pros: Lightweight; nylon outer should be waterproof; strong Velcro fastening
- Cons: Very thin padding; few pockets; no carry handle; strap can’t be detached
- Price: £29.99
- Star rating:
Designed to fit the 13in MacBook Pro, the Chic Marine bag is clearly little more than a ‘super sleeve’. If you just need lightweight, minimal protection for your MacBook when on the move, this bag will offer defence from scrapes and scratches, but don’t expect it to survive any serious drops or knocks.
This bag is very light, weighing just 375g. Manufactured in durable nylon, the bright yellow, pink, or azur interior won’t be to everyone’s taste. However, if you’re looking for something a little out of the ordinary, this bag would suit you well. Consisting of just the laptop compartment and zipped pocket, you’ll have space for your MacBook and phone, but little else. This bag forces you to travel light.
