The Store ‘n’ Go romped ahead of the competition using FireWire
Verbatim and Freecom are both part of the same company, and there are some clear similarities between their two USB 3 drives.
Like the Freecom Mobile Mg, Verbatim’s Store ‘n’ Go is designed specifically for the Mac, and includes both USB 3 and FireWire 800 interfaces.
It also includes the same ‘green button’ software that sets the sleep timer to save energy when the drive isn’t being used.
However, there are a couple of important differences that set the two drives apart. The Store ‘n’ Go is available in both white and black, and it provides 500GB storage for just under £80, so it’s a good option if you’re on a tight budget.
