Getleft is an open-source website grabber which downloads the various components of a website - HTML, images, CSS files, scripts - to a local folder for inspection or browsing offline.

Getting started is as easy as entering a target URL and the destination folder.

After analysing the opening page, Getleft displays various pages, files and links, which you're able to select or deselect individually.

Click Download when you're done and the program begins downloading the site to a folder of the same name (downloading www.mydomain.com to \destination saves it to \destination\www.mydomain.com.

Verdict

Getleft doesn't offer anything like the power of a full-strength off-line browser, and it's not been updated in years.

On the plus side, it's easy to use and did successfully download some of our test sites. Try it if you're interested in this kind of app, but don't expect much.
