The dates for next year's key education-focused BETT show are announced
The dates for the UK's leading education technology exhibition have been announced, BETT 2009 takes place between 14-17 January.
It's the 25th year of the event, which attracts thousands of professional educators and ICT implementers from across Europe and the UK to London's Olympia each year.
BETT 2009 will offer a range of new products, resources and seminars suitable for all subject areas. Keith Clifford, marketing manager for Emap Connect, said: "BETT, like the education sector, is constantly evolving and transforming. Ultimately, BETT aims to support creative teaching and learning by enabling practitioners to touch and test resources, debate ideas and continue their professional development."
The show will feature new ‘Learning Elsewhere’ and ‘New Technologies’ areas. The first, supported by Prof. Stephen Heppell, will focus on mobile, remote and distance learning, and the second will bring together innovative and inspiring resources, with views from both student and teacher on how these can be implemented in the classroom.
The 2009 seminar programme includes over 100 practitioner-led sessions along with keynote speakers, government agency based seminars and more. These can be booked in advance and aim to explore the practical application of specific educational tools, software and new learning devices.
