ConceptDraw Pro 7 Review
Macworld team
ConceptDraw is a tricky pitch to newcomers. We’re used to a paradigm of design tools that neatly divides them into vector packages, bitmap editors, CAD and 3D modellers. ConceptDraw is probably best described as a plan-creation package – a tool for creating charts and diagrams.

zCover TypeOn Keyboard Protector Review
Macworld team
zCover is perhaps best known for making a living out of silicon-based skins for various products (iPhones, iPods, and other gadgetry). However, the company also does an interesting sideline in protective keyboard covers.

OmniFocus 1.0 Review
Dan Miller
Managing to-dos is a very personal thing. Some people deploy elaborate project-management systems to make sure they get everything done. Others just jot down their day’s tasks on the nearest scrap of paper. Most of us are somewhere in between. For the in-betweeners, there's OmniFocus.

Computer Cuisine Deluxe Review
Karl Hodge
We’re of the general opinion that computers and food don’t really mix. Anyone who’s had to clean bits of a pizza or Chinese takeaway out of their keyboard will probably agree. Computer Cuisine Deluxe 5.0 tries to convince us otherwise – and partially succeeds.

MindManager 7
Karl Hodge
You might call it ‘blue sky thinking’ or ‘brainstorming’, but the proper term is ‘mind mapping’ – a process where you visually break down an idea into its component parts. Mind mapping enables you to chart the relationship between elements of a project or concept, making it easier to work with.

Starry Night Apollo Review
Mike Hubbartt
Imaginova has introduced a special version of its Starry Night astronomy software. Starry Night turns your Mac into a digital observatory, allowing you to view objects in the night sky from wherever you are on Earth. However, this new Starry Night Apollo offering is a separate program that shows you outer space from the perspective of the astronauts who flew on NASA’s key Apollo missions in the 1960s and 1970s.

Ableton Live 7 Review
Christopher Breen
Ableton Live is a digital-audio workstation (DAW) program that lets you trigger prerecorded audio with a Mac’s keyboard, mouse, or a MIDI controller. Unlike traditional DAWs, MIDI control makes Live a playable instrument as well as an audio editor and MIDI sequencer. The new Live 7 delivers refinements to features found in previous versions, as well as introduces new capabilities that will be welcome to musicians, DJs, and producers.

Apple Xserve (2008) Server Review
Andrew T. Laurence
Apple’s server has the unenviable task of pleasing two disparate audiences: Macintosh users, who expect a suitably Mac-like server, and cranky server administrators, who prefer the command line and demand feature and price parity from a host of 1U server vendors. The Xserve is largely successful on both fronts, but its design can force some uncomfortable compromises.

DroboShare Review
Mark Hattersley
The Drobo external hard drive enclosure was easily one of the most exciting products of 2007 (although it was 2008 before it reached the UK). However, it lacked an Ethernet connection, which dampened our enthusiasm for it. DroboShare sets out to fix that. Read on to find out what we think of this handy addition to one of our favourite drives.

MacBook Air 1.6GHz Review
Jason Snell, www.macworld.com
Apple's stunning new MacBook Air offers all the functionality of a MacBook in an incredibly thin form factor. It looks stunning, but there are compromises you must make: there's no optical drive, few sockets, an iPod-style hard drive and the battery is sealed inside. The question is: 'are the trade-offs worth it?'
