I spilled beer on my keyboard. It died. I then tried to replace it at my local Mac vendor. Look at the price of this piece of junk!

Just because it is colourful it is worth £47? Anyway I had to go around town to find a keyboard suitable for a Mac. This took hours of shopping. Eventually I drove to PC World, my last resort having tried John Lewis and Dixons. Here I found a nice Logitech keyboard with Apple keys and also full function add on keys that have drivers for OS X. Play buttons for itunes, mail buttons, scroll buttons, you name it it's there.

How much?

£34.99

Shows that Apple only products are overpriced cr@p. The real deal Apple product is £48 and abismal quality compared to the Logitech one I ended up buying. This shows how Apple users have gotten used to poor quality products at inflated prices. Equivalent PS2 keyboards to Lindy's & Apple's offering were £9.99. All that extra for coloured plastic???

Bah!

Al Bundy,

Most USB keyboards are Mac compatible.

Apple's newer keyboards afaik use scissor-action keys instead of the standard used in most membrane keyboards, and they have a much nicer feel. They also have a built in USB hub so it's a little different to a cheap PS2 keyboard.

The nicest keyboard I've ever actually typed on was a MacAlly icekey which uses lower-profile scissor keys. Costs about £50 as well.
