Has anyone tried OS X 10.6.5 with FCP 7 and had any problems. I am a bit cautious about upgrades, after upgrading to 10.6.4. I am using a 15” Mac Book Pro an early 09 model with an express card slot, and a Sata card connected to a Sata external Hard drive. This has worked fine up till now. I upgraded and also upgraded the memory to 4 GB, when I tried to capture to the hard drive, after about 20 sec the Mac crashed. The problem was cured when I got a driver for the card that StarTech who make the card said did not exist. I found a web site www.xlr8yourmac.com that has a lot of info about Express34 cards and directed me to SiliconImage web site where there was a new driver for Snow Leopard. since then it has worked OK. I don’t want to have the same trouble again. |
