Excuse me if this is the wrong place to ask but I have a second MacPro sitting here in the office that we haven't used in ages so I thought it would be best to sell it. I don't have an eBay account and wondered where would be the best place to offer it for sale? It's a fully re-furbished Power PC Mac with Mac monitor. I don't see a sales forum here, so can anybody offer any tips?

MarcM,

users may mention non-commercial items for sale, that's within the T&Cs, however commercial sales and spam are prohibited and deleted whenever spotted.

I'd suggest adding a price and location and if I were buying, I'd be curious about what was involved when it was refurbished. However, unless it's priced attractively I doubt that it would sell here as this isn't a site that people come to with the intention of buying stuff.

AlanAudio,
Thanks for the feedback. I was told when it was refurbished (by Cancom) that there was interest in this model, but that was a year or two ago. I may well list it anyway and see if anybody is interested. Other than selling it I have no idea what else to do with it. I'll power it up and list the specs here shortly.

MarcM,

One thing worth pointing out, is you mention it's a MacPro and then say it's a PowerPC model. Unfortunately, it can't be both...

"Mac Pro" = Intel processor
"PowerMac G5" = PowerPC G5 processor

Both look very similar - the Intel models have two optical drive bays at the front, so that's the givaway sign. But full specs can be found if you select "About this Mac" under the top right Apple menu, then click the "More Information" button to launch System Profiler.

If you're selling this on ebay (or indeed anywhere!) be sure to list the exact model details, including if it's a "Mac Pro" or "PowerMac G5". If you say it's a Mac Pro in the advert, then the seller discovers it's, in fact, a PowerPC G5 model then they may not be best pleased, you see!
