In April more than 600,000 Macs were reported to have been infected with a Flashback Trojan horse that was being installed on people's computers with the help of Java exploits. Flashback Trojan is considered to be the largest Mac malware threat to date.

We'd like to know whether or not you have tested your Mac to see if it has been infected by the Flashback Trojan.

Let us know here.

Ashleigh Allsopp,

tested 5 Macs of my own, 11 others in person and quite a few others by talking them through how to do it.

Nothing untoward found on any of them.

Ashleigh Allsopp,
Tested using an on-line device recommended by ??? (might be MacWorld!), showed that had been affected, but that it had not attempted to install Flashback Trojan because I had ClamXav.

Ashleigh Allsopp,

Tested 2 at home, and 3 at work.... nothing, but running Sophos now as a precaution.

Ashleigh Allsopp,
Tested using the Terminal option and was all clear. Was 99.9% certain in the first place that I hadn't been compromised but better be safe than sorry.
