I have just had a LaCie 1000GB drive returned from LaCie. It had a power supply fault and had stopped working so returned it to LaCie for repair. During the repair LaCie reformatted the disc. All the data was lost!!!!

Any one else experienced this?

TympaniProducti,

I'm starting to form a negative opinion of the 500GB and 10000GB Extreme Drives for editing. I've lost two and one keeps failing. They're ggood for storing libraries and switching off, but they don't seem to be up to the task of regualr editing. The 250GB Extreme on the other hand is as solid as a rock.

But I've never send criticial files on Mac or hard disk back to a supplier.

Peace
