Hello everybody

Not only am I new to this forum I am new to FCX HD, so please be gentle.

I am running Final Cut Express HD (v3.0) on my Powermac G5 Dual 2.5 (2GB ram) OSX 10.4.6

According to Apple and a few other sources FCX HD should support DVCpro 25. I have a Panasonic DVCpro deck with Firewire interface connected and I have full deck control as far as I am aware. I can capture from this deck miniDV footage with no problems using a DV-PAL setup from the Easy Setup menu. There are no options in this list for DVCpro. If I try to capture from a DVCpro tape using any of the DV-PAL options I can only capture 3 seconds and then capture fails and I get an error message.

I have seen the options for Easy Setup in FCP 5 and that certainly lists a lot of DVCpro options. If FCX HD supports DVCpro 25 then where are these options in FCX HD?

Just to clarify...I am using DVCpro tape stock shot on a DVCpro 25 camera.

Any help greatly appreciated.
