Please could somebody offer some advice;

I want to experiement in 25p mode on my Canon XL2 -(Note: this is the PAL version which differs from the NTSC version and only has 2 position switch for frame rate; 50i and 25p.

I am assuming that 24 and 25p is close enough as to not make much difference?

I would like to import some footage 25p into FCP, edit it and then export it back out. Retainig the 25p frame rate throughtout.

But I am at a loss as to what capture / export setting I should use.

I have read counless web documents on the subject but they are virtually all biased towards NTSC workflows, and genuine 24p on the NTSC version over the camera.

I have experiemtned with a variey of settings but I not getting the effect I'm looking for.

Is anybody doing regularly? and able to offer a few tips and tricks.

Thanks,
