Intro

Using your iPhone for reminders and to-do lists is a great idea, and that’s exactly where the Reminders app comes in.

Built into iOS 5, it has a number of great features including integration with Siri. This only takes a few seconds to set up – simply press the Home button and then use your voice. Additionally, you can set your own time-sensitive reminder, and if you have a lot of items you can easily search through them. Reminders can be sorted in a list or by date, and you can also see a calendar view of all your reminders a month at a time.

If you’re using the iCloud service all your tasks can be synced across your iOS devices. If you set a reminder on your iPad, for example, it will show on your iPhone and vice versa. Thanks to the Notification Centre your reminders will show up, even on a locked iPhone, so you can see at a glance what you need to remember.

If you’re cursed with the forgetful gene, have no fear, the Reminders app is here. You’ll never forget your wedding anniversary again.
