Step 2 of 6: 1. Access your settings

On your iOS device’s home screen, tap on the ‘Settings’ app, and then scroll down until you find ‘Store’. Tap on it.

Step 3 of 6: 2. Get apps to download

Slide the ‘Apps’ slider to ‘On’, so that anything you buy on another device will automatically be downloaded to your iPhone.

Step 4 of 6: 3. Use 3G as well

If you’d like to sync apps when you’re not connected to a Wi-Fi network, you’ll need to slide ‘Cellular’ to ‘On’.

Step 5 of 6: 4. Sync books

If you have ‘iBooks’ installed on your phone, there will be a second slider that you can move to ‘On’ for syncing books.

Step 6 of 6: 5. Sync on your desktop

To have your apps and books available on your computer’s desktop, open iTunes, and go to iTunes > Preferences.

In the ‘Store’ tab, click on the check boxes for ‘Apps’ and ‘Books’ to start syncing with your desktop machine.
