Facebook is, for the few who don’t know, a social-networking site with immense popularity. Almost everyone is on Facebook and it’s great for keeping in touch with your friends and family.

Facebook, along with Twitter, Flickr and Vimeo, is one of the few external services that has seen deep integration into iOS 7. You enter your Facebook username and password into the Settings of your iPad or iPhone, and can then use it to post and share pictures with the social-networking site. You don’t even need to download a Facebook app (although you are prompted to and it’s better with it installed).

Setting up Facebook is very simple. You can use an account that you already have or create a brand-new one.

The Facebook integration within iOS 7 is fully complete and, once it is set up, you can use Siri to post a message, and share web pages from Safari or pictures from the Photos app. Your Facebook account is connected to the Settings of the iPad or iPhone itself.

Another advantage of having Facebook built right into the system is that other apps such as Calendar and Contacts are much more easily able to integrate your account. So your Facebook events will appear in Calendar, and you can sync your Contacts with your Facebook information.
