Facebook has updated its iPad app to take advantage of the new iPad's Retina display.
On the iTunes Store, Facebook writes: "If you've got a new Retina iPad, you'll see a crisp, high resolution interface."
Version 4.1.1 of the social networking app also provides several other improvements, including the ability to go offline in chat, and added language options.
Facebook claims that annoying bugs have been fixed too, so now you should always see the correct profile picture, all of your friends should appear in your friends list, and names should be displayed correctly in sets of photos.

The update should come as a relief to many Facebook users who reported that that the app was full of bugs when it first became available on the iPad at the end of last year.
Apple and other developers have also been updating their apps for the new iPad's Retina display, but this has caused concerns about the increase in app size, with many experts hoping for the arrival of a 128GB iPad in the future.
