An artist has created concept images of what he thinks Apple’s next-generation iPhone will look like.
Jon Fawcett’s design predicts that the iPhone 5 will be made with Liquidmetal, at 7mm thick with a 4in widescreen multitouch display, reports Mashable.
The images show a 10-megapixel rear-facing camera and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera for FaceTime. They also show an elongated home button, a feature that was initially predicted to arrive with the iPhone 4S.
Mashable points out that Fawcett isn’t affiliated with Apple, and therefore these images are just speculation, but it’s interesting to see what the new iPhone could potentially look like if the rumours we’ve been hearing are all true.
At the beginning of May, a separate set of concept illustrations were created by ADR Studio, also showing a thinner, Liquidmetal iPhone with in-cell technology. The images depict a device dubbed the iPhone Plus.
Reports suggest that the next iPhone will arrive in October, and most experts have dismissed rumours that the device will launch at this year’s WWDC.
