You will be able to watch the Euro 2012 football live on your iPad or iPhone when it kicks off next week.
The ITV Player app is now allowing live streaming of ITV1 and ITV2 programmes, and some ITV3 and ITV4 programmes, to iPads and iPhones via both WiFi and 3G. The BBC iPlayer app has offered live streaming for years.
The release of the app comes just a week before the start of the Euro 2012 football tournament.
Fans of the Tour de France (which starts on 30 June) should also be able to watch live via their iOS devices.
ITV Player director James Micklethwait told The Telegraph: “Following the launch of the ITV Player on Apple devices in June last year, we have seen a massive demand for the product with over four million downloads to date. We are therefore really excited to be releasing this updated version with an array of new features offering an even better user experience. We are especially pleased to be launching live streaming within the app ensuring our football fans can enjoy all this summer’s ITV Euro 2012 action on the move.”
