An image that may or may not be the new eight-pin USB connector for the new iPhone has appeared on the web.
The photograph leaked from a Chinese accessory shop, so it may just be a third party connector, notes KnowYourMobile.
If Apple switches to a eight-pin connector it may render old and existing accessories unusable, including expensive speaker docks, which is unlikely to go down well with manufacturers and consumers.
The current dock connector in Apple’s iOS devices has a 30-pin design.
