Our collegues at Macworld US have received their invites to a Apple Event next Tuesday.

It is thought that Apple will launch the iPad mini, 13in Retina MacBook Pro, Mac mini and a thinner iMac at the event.

Apple's invite reads: "We've got a little more to show you" and shows the top of an Apple logo.

The event will kick off at 10am on Tuesday at the San Jose California Theatre which is about a 15 minute drive from Cupertinio.

Microsoft is set to launch Windows 8 and the Surface Tablet next Friday (26 October).

Macworld will be on hand with its customary live coverage.

"A Little more" would be a 17" MacBook Pro. Come on Apple, bring the 17" back!
