Apple's free 12 Days of Christmas giveaway continues with The Photo Cookbook - Quick & Easy from ditter.projektagentur, who note the app is: "As seen on Apple's iPad TV ads."
The app developers add: "Every recipe starts with a photograph of all the ingredients. This is more than just a pretty picture or – even less helpful – a montage that is not to scale, so that a chilli appears to be the same size as a whole fish. Instead, it serves as a handy way of checking that you have everything ready before you start cooking."
The basic version of the app illustrates 84 recipes, divided into four topics: Quick & Easy (60 recipes), Asian (5 recipes), Italian (15 recipes) and Baking (4 recipes).
The Photo Cookbook - Quick & Easy is free until midnight tonight and requires iOS 5.0 or later and is compatible with iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, iPhone 4S, iPhone 5, iPod touch (3rd generation), iPod touch (4th generation), iPod touch (5th generation) and iPad. Top In-App Purchases includes Italian, Asian and Baking, which increases your library to 240 total recipes or 60 recipes per chapter. The makers add the contents of the app can also be found in a book series by Parragon Books.
The 12 Days of Christmas promotion runs until 6 January - with each gift only available for 24 hours.
You can download each via your iDevice or your computer and Apple notes: "To access these gifts, the Region Format setting on your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch needs to match your iTunes Store account."
