A new job listing has revealed that Apple is working to give Siri an improved personality, and bring some new capabilities to the iOS voice-activated personal assistant.
9To5Mac reports that Apple is looking for a creative writer skilled in character-driven dialog to "help the Siri team evolve Siri as a distinct, recognizable character."
The new member of the Siri team will help "refresh and refine" existing Siri content, as well as "develop and write original dialog to support new Siri capabilities."
The job listing notes that "Siri's known for her wit, cultural knowledge, and zeal to explain things in engaging, funny, and practical ways," so it seems that Apple is keen to develop that character further. While not very useful, one of Siri's most loved features is its witty responses to silly questions like 'will you marry me?' and 'who let the dogs out?' (who, who, who, who), among many more.

"The ideal candidate is someone who combines a love for language, wordplay, and conversation with demonstrated experience in bringing creative content to life within an intense technical environment," writes Apple.
Siri seems to have made a positive impact on many consumers, with the name significantly increasing in popularity among parents according to the baby names charts in 2012. Also climbing the charts are the names 'Apple' and 'Mac'.

Clearly they need someone like Graham Linehan - because Linehan himself would have to refuse.
