Wed, 04 Jan 2012 Crackle for iOS review
Get entertained by your iPad or iPhone
There’s no shortage of video entertainment available on the iPhone and iPad, but for many of these you’ll need to pay a fee. Not so with Crackle, a universal app that offers a modest but entertaining selection of TV and film for your iOS device.
As a streaming service, Crackle is just as reliable as its competitors. You’re not required to register to watch the shows and films, but doing so enables you to stop what you’re watching on your iPad, then restart it at the same point later on your iPhone or PC.
The movie offerings tend to lean toward popular films from the 1980s and 1990s, and the TV pickings are slimmer.
If there’s a down side it’s that there are lots of adverts.
