Thu, 01 May 2008 More evidence suggest iPhone unlocked sales plan
Apple seems set to sell iPhone through multiple carriers in Australia
Apple will sell the iPhone unlocked while AT&T is taking a leaf from O2’s book and offering free WiFI access to iPhone customers, reports claim.
Apple’s Australian iPhone launch plan are the talk of the ‘Net this morning, with CNet reporting that both Optus and Telstra are to begin selling the iPhone in June.
Optus plans to make the announcement mid-May ahead of Apple's Worldwide Developer's Conference on June 9 in San Francisco.
In related news, US iPhone subscribers are now getting free WiFi Access at AT&T hotspots around the country including Barnes and Noble and Starbucks. The move means AT&T now matches what iPhone users in the UK and Germany enjoy under their deal.
