Apple's latest Windows software ships
Apple has introduced a new version of its iPod utility for Windows computers.
iPod Reset Utility 1.0.4 for Windows is software iPod shuffle owners can use to restore their device back to factory settings. The 4.9MB download is available now from Apple’s support website and works with first and second-generation iPod shuffles.
The restore process completely erases all music and data on your iPod, and installs current iPod software on it. The software is available for Windows 2000 with SP4 and Windows XP (SP2).
