Thu, 24 Jul 2008 Product (Red) iPhone rumour grows
Does Apple plan a fund-raising phone drive?
Unconfirmed reports claim a Product (RED) iPhone will debut in time for Christmas.
Small website iPhone Savior makes the claims, citing an unconfirmed "source".
"Rumors have begun to bubble under that Apple is quietly planning to go red," iPhone Savior reports. "With the iPhone's transition to plastic casing, it's fairly simple for Apple to add color at will while keeping true to form with a (Product (RED) offering."
It's not the first time Apple has become involved in the Bono-backed commercial partnership that aims to raise cash to fight the Aids scourge in Africa. But we feel this rumour may require a generous pinch of salt.
