Can't make next week's REM gigs in London? Free music video as consolation prize
REM will play an intimate live gig at Apple's Regent Street store next week, and is offering another sweet bonus to iTunes users.
With attendance at next week's show limited to just 450 people, there's inevitably going to be many disappointed fans of the band. Many of these will attend REM's Royal Albert Hall show which takes place on Monday 24 March.
But for the thousands of REM fans who can attend neither event, iTunes is now offering a free music video from the band. The track, Living Well Is The Best Revenge, is the first track on REM's latest album, Accelerate. And the video is available free from iTunes.
In related news, the ICA next week plays host to a day of REM-related screenings, exhibitions and events. Beginning at 11am on 24 March, the day features a pre-release playback of the new material, an exclusive screening of Vincent Moon’s REM film Six Days, plus a Q&A with Vincent and Michael Stipe.
