T-Mobile is to take on iTunes with the launch of a video-on-demand service for long-form content that can be viewed on either mobile phone or a computer.

New Media Age reports T-Mobile to be in talks to extend its existing deals with a range of short-form content partners including Ministry of Sound, EMI, ITV, Universal and Warner.

The seven day rental service will be called Video On Demand Plus and will be boosted by a website presence. Purchased video will be synced across platforms, so viewers can bookmark them.

Sylvia Radacovska, interactive and video manager at T-Mobile, said: "You can buy content when you're on the go, then, for a better experience, watch it on your PC later."
