Apple has confirmed it plans to launch the "remarkably compact Bluetooth headset" for the iPhone which it announced in January at Macworld Expo.

The company's original press release detailing the iPhone describes the Bluetooth headset — but only very briefly: "Several iPhone accessories will also be available in June, including Apple’s new remarkably compact Bluetooth headset."

Mention of the product now features on Apple's iPhone pages, on which the company confirms the new headset will support Bluetooth 2.0 with EDR. The page also confirms the iPhone will support the 802.11b and g wireless standards.

Apple is unlikely to ship any of its family of iPhone accessories before the launch of the product in June.
