Fri, 25 Jul 2008 Rumour: Orange to offer iPhone in UK?
Will Orange join O2 in offering iPhone in the UK
A report this morning claims Orange will join O2 in offering the iPhone in the UK, perhaps as soon as October.
Electric Pig claims the exclusive arrangement between Apple and O2 is set to time-out by the end of the year, and claims credible sources let it know that Orange plans to step in as a second carrier.

Orange already sells (or will sell) the iPhone in France, Austria, Belgium, the Dominican Republic, Egypt, Jordan, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Switzerland and Africa.
Apple continues to implement a more cohesive, non-exclusive bring to market strategy for iPhone as the company sees to secure strong marketshare for the device.

Apple could have ruled the world (well at least the mobile phone one) if they had put out the iPhone 3G on every network. It be everyone next phone

NigelS is right, if apple had allowed all netwroks to obtain and sell the iPhone, there would be no competition to what would be everyones first choice to there next mobile phone. I believe there are people already awaiting the relise of the iPhone in the UK. The question is when will it be relised?

I agree with both comments. I am waiting for Orange and Apple (can't they exploit the fruit link??) to get together on this one for the UK.
EVERYONE wants an iPhone why has it taken them so long!!!
very frustrating
