Thu, 02 Jul 2009 Xtand for iPhone review
Give your iPhone the look of a mini iMac with this beautifully designed stand
- Manufacturer: Just Mobile
- Pros: Excellent construction, fun product, useful for movies and desk tidying
- Cons: Expensive
- Price: £24.95
- Star rating:
There’s a difference between what something is worth and what it’s worth to you. The Xtand highlights this distinction perfectly. It’s not really a case at all, rather a stand that holds your iPhone for you, styling it like a miniature iMac.
It costs £24.95, and it’s worth every penny in terms of quality. It’s beautifully made from tough aluminium, with changeable rubber tips to fit the iPhone and iPhone 3G (there’s a different model for the touch). The iPhone holder rotates, so you can use it as a holder for desktop access to your apps, or turn it 90 degrees and use it as a stand for watching movies.
That’s all it does. It’s well worth the money, assuming a novel, high-quality iPhone stand is worth 25 shiny one pound coins to you. We’re fans of the Xtand, but it’s the sort of thing you’d buy without thinking if you had more money than you knew what to do with.
