Mon, 08 Oct 2012 Macworld Tips: Sort your layers in Photoshop CS6
Tag, code and organise the layers in your Photoshop composition
Duncan Evans
Step 1
There’s an extra option bar in the Layers palette dedicated to sorting out and displaying layers. To start, layers can be displayed by what type they are.
Step 2
You can select one type or combinations by toggling them on or off. As soon as any are selected the overall on/off switch is active – it’s the red slider in the corner.
Step 3
The fun part is tagging layers with colours – like red if you aren’t sure about whether it’s a good idea. Then the Sort criteria can be Color: Red to display those in question.
