Mon, 15 Oct 2012 Tutorial: How to create alternative designs in the same InDesign document
Keep track of new designs by including alternatives in the same document
Duncan Evans
Step 1
To create a different layout using the same text and image assets and keep it in the same document firstly go to Layout> Create Alternate Layout.
Step 2
The default option is to turn vertical pages into horizontal ones but this can be changed at the initial dialog box so they remain the same.
Step 3
Open the Pages dialog to see the original and the alternative version. Click on each one to swap between then create your new design for comparison.
