In a brief video post, Adobe has revealed a future feature likely to be found in the next version of Photoshop.

Photoshop PM Bryan O'Neil Hughes shows off some new selection technology that promises better edge detection and masking results in less time via the Facebook video.

"What tools do you currently use to make challenging selections?" Adobe asks. Facebook users can leave comments below the video.

Adobe Creative Suite 4 (CS4) was released in October 2008, which suggests a new version is in the works as Adobe normally updates the suite every 18 months or so.
